Blue-ray wins the war!

Well, the high-def DVD war is officially over after Toshiba announced that it will stop producing HD DVD players.  I was one of those people that werent going to make a move on either product until the dust settled.  Lucky for me we bought a desktop computer that can play both Blue-ray and HD-DVD.  Does this mean that all current HD-DVD’s are going to be converted to Blue-ray?  I hope so, I am a big fan of the Bourne series.

Web Design Experience

I have about 4 years of web design experience.  I took an introductory HTML course in my undergraduate program and really became excited about web design.  My previous job gave me my first chance to design a web site to be used by others.  It was an Intranet site, so only people within the company could access it, but I had a lot of fun with it.

In my current job, I have been asked to be a part of the Intranet redesign team, the current design is old and needs some serious updating.  I have the project about 95% complete, I just need to run it through some 508 compliance checks first since its a government site.

These past 4 years I have learned a ton about web design.  I am now starting to incorporate Photoshop and Flash in my design work and the possibilites have become endless.  I just purchased Adobe Creative Suite 3 and have been having a blast with, I highly recommend people to take advantage of the ECU discount and purchase through Dowdy.
